It was the turn of another potluck brunch(breakfast + lunch)that brought together the employees cutting across levels and functions. The brainchild of the department of business studies, the informal get-together blended a host of delicacies representing different parts of India, Pakistan, Philipines, Sultanate of Oman.More importantly being a brunch, the day started with a different approach with the hungry employees having food as their first priority after entering the office, as a sweet and memorable change. The unique presentation of dishes would have activated the taste buds of even the top bracket food connoisseurs as they were a perfect match of starters, main course and side dishes, not to forget the , which even had a perfect mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu. The bonhomie which always existed within the department, was taken to a new level with this get-together as every employee from the business department had an opportunity to present the cooking skills of their own and their family members, which in turn creates bonding not only within the family members, but also in between the colleagues and staff in general. The happy mood reflected the joy and relaxed environs immediately after the completion of the tasks within stiff deadlines and the pot-luck brunch was ideal and perfectly what the doctor ordered. Just before the onset of the next rigorous schedule, the pot-luck brunch get-together can be treated as a curtain raiser for a series of other unofficial get-together are concerned, with a common objective of increasing employee productivity in fulfilling the organizational goals.
