Workshop on Leadership Development in Teaching-Learning Professionals

English Language Center(ELC) of Ibra College of Technology conducted a workshop on leadership development in teachers on the 4th of June 2015. The workshop organized by the Staff Development Committee under the coordinator-ship of Mr. Anwar Sajad was facilitated by Dr. Manishankar Chakraborty, Faculty member, Business Studies, ICT, Oman. The hour long interactive session dealt with various aspects of leadership development within a teacher’s persona and profession, that can have a direct and indirect bearing on all major stakeholders of the Higher Education Sector, notably the students. The activities centered around the insights of different teaching faculties with interesting perspectives coming to the fore. The discussion covered a wide range of topics related to leadership development in teaching and learning, including, but not limited to the challenges, opportunities, roles and responsibilities of the teachers in the classroom, within the institution, and the need of a strong personality.
